    Hello all and greets from Finland,

    My german language is not that good, so I must write to you in english.

    I have a Cologne 2,8 EFI engine in the works, but the engine is missing inlet manifold parts.

    I need few parts, but I do not have rights to make a proper wanted thread to the proper wanted forum here.
    Hopefully admins won´t delete my posting, as I need these parts to continue my turbo project.
    Help a finnish Capri fellow out guys!

    Do you have any forum members here, who could supply parts?

    I need:

    EFI double inlet throttle body
    EFI fuel rail with pressure regulator

    This particular engine is used in few Ford models:

    GRANADA 2.8 EFi incl 4x4 2792cc 160 bhp 1985-87

    SCORPIO 2.8 EFi incl 4x4 2792cc 1985-88

    SIERRA 2.8 EFi incl 4x4 2792cc 1985-88

    All information is very much appreciated.
    Links to a german parts dealer, or a breakers yard from where I can get these parts.

    This Engine as EFI you can find only in Scorpio , in Granada and Sierra the 2,8 was only with K-JET , in some Infos you see Granada for this , but it goes only for Scorpio , the real Granada was finish on 1984 !

    I'm not sure , but i mean for the Trottle Body you can look on the 2,9 EFI 12v V6 , this Engine comes after the 2,8 EFI and some Things you need are the same like 2,9er !
    The Trottle from 2,9er are 2 x 43mm , you can change it only to 2 x 45mm , from 2,4 EFI V6 are 2 x 40mm

    You want this Engine for Turbo ?
    2,8 and 2,9 12v have a big Problem , the Outlet from the Heads are to small , the biggest Problem starts under the Valve , all is very small and kill many Power , without Tuning on the Outlet , it is not a good Idea for other Tuning !
    Only with Headtuning , this Engine gives you 20 - 25 ps more , only Outlet you can have 10 ps more !
    This all goes with the original Valves !
    Make the Outlet bigger and you have a good Basic for your Turbo Project , without this you lost many Power !!!

    Vielen danke,

    I´ll look into the 2,9 EFI throttle body. Can measure it from my Capri´s 2,9 engine. DId not think of that :)
    I have a chance of buying one 2,9 throttle body here in Finland.

    The 2,8 engine is already turbo ready.
    Heads are ported, low comp pistons, turbo exhaust manifold with connecting pipe from other side and oil return from turbo to oil pan.

    Should make easy 300 horses with Holset HE series turbo and Megasquirt.

    What about the fuel rail?

    The 2,9 EFI engine has that shaped E- looking fuel rail. What I could find from Google, the 2,8 EFI might have straight I- shaped fuel rail?
    Can anyone confirm me this?
    If the fuel rail is straight on the 2,8 EFI, then I can use generic aluminium fuel rail.

    For the Fuel Rail look on 2,9 too , this Engine have two Versions about this !
    A little Help can come from a Tuner for this Things !
    When i want buy a Power Boost Valve for a 2,9er , i must tell the Tuner which Version i have on my Engine , one Version can go to the Thing you need !

    My English is not perfect , i don't understand you work on the Outlet from the Heads ?
    To create a perfect Outlet i need 15 hours for my Work on 2 Heads !
    Without this , there is no Chance for 300 ps !

    You want work with original Things from the original 2,8 turbo ?
    The Exhaust 2 in 1 on the left Site Zylinder 4,5,6 is before it goes on the End to small , is the same like a normal 2,8er !
    The 2,9er have the same Problem when it goes from 3 in 1 , i change this Point on the original Exhaust with a Thing from a other Exhaust , after this it goes 30% bigger on this Place and you can feel it after 4000 U/min , the Engine goes more free to 6000 !

    No worries mate, I understand your english just fine :)

    Yes, the heads have gone extensive work at a professional workshop.
    Exhaust and intake ports have been modified and the valves are also made to match.
    Flow is much better.
    I use custom made exhaust manifold for the turbo.
    Ok, the siamese heads are not the best on the 2,8 Cologne, as to the 2,9 Cologne.

    My N/A 2,9 EFI Cologne in my Capri is waiting USA Exhaust manifiolds. These are common in Ford Broncos. From Summit racing USA.
    No restrictions there after that.

    When the Work is perfect on the 2 Outlets from the 2,8er , there is no Problem , you lost no Power , you don't need 3 Outlets like the 2,9er !
    A good polish in the Outlet can give a good Help for this !
    But this you can do only for the Outlets !

    Look for the 2,9 Europe too !
