    Hi all!

    Unfortunatelly my german are not very well, so I hope this post will be ok.
    I have moved to Germany with my Focus ST II and as a part of getting the german plates I went for the TUV test where I failed. The person at TUV mainly pointed out at my GGR CAIS and the Mongoose exhaust.
    Is there anyone with these parts that has passed a TUV?
    Is there any chance of getting a TUV or should I replace to the original parts.

    here are some guys with the mongoose exhaust, but normaly the "german version" with all the numbers on it for the tüv.

    the inductionkit could be a problem...

    Hey,
    the "easiest" way would be to install the original parts. :boesegrinsen:
    Where do you come from?
    The mongoose-exhaust: cat-back or turbo-back?
    There is a little chance to get the plates with the cat-back mongoose.. I don't think it's possible to drive a turbo-back mongoose legal becaus of our "green"-laws.
    The GGR-Intake-Kit like this?

    Maybe a "Einzelabnahme" would help you to get this kit into your papers.
    I got a mongoose cat-back installed in my '06 Focus ST. TÜV knows about that and everything is dokumentet..

    a noise level measurements / individual TÜV-approval is very expensive. the best way is to change the air intake back to original.

    Thanks everybody for their answers

    I come from Greece and moved to Germany for work.
    The exhaust is turbo back but with a sports catalyst and I pass the emission tests without problem in Greece.
    @RoyalDog09: Yes this is my intake system. Did you get the TUV for the exhaust from Mongoose directly?

    I have seen that the Wolf kit (induction included) has a TUV, but I suspect that my GGR CAIS would be a different story.

    Normally you have to ask Mongoose for some Paperwork about the Exhaust. German TÜV won't do anything without an official certificate made by Mongoose about the Exhaust in combination with the Focus ST.

    As said, the only other way, an "Einzelabnahme" with included noise-measurement is very expensive and, in my opinion, not worth it!

    Set your car up to the original parts, thats the cheapest and easiest way. If you dont want to do that, talk to the man from TÜV. He can tell you, what he thinks you should do. But i think he also will tell you, to use the original parts.

    PS: I'm not sure greece emissiontest are the same as the german ones. Your now living in a state full of paragraphs that make no sense and the environment seems to become the most major thing to be saved...stupid!

    Fortunately i own my ST just 3 Months. The paperwork for the Mongoose (and my rims) managed the previous owner.
    A "funny" (stupid, like MoSo already wrote) aspect:
    The Wolf-kit maybe has TÜV - if your intakesystem is completely build the same that is no garantie to you to get your intake with TÜV. That's Germany..

    Thanks a lot for the help. From what I understood it seems to me that it is not a black/white situation and I can get a TUV for the parts. However the easiest solution probably is to replace the parts.
